DECRACOAT provides resistance to many chemicals, oils, fats, acids and alkalis.  It is an ideal coating where waterproofing, dust proofing and an attractive appearance is required.  Suitable for internal and/or external application.  Excellent UV light resistance and weathering ability.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:

Concrete - Masonry – Timber: factory floors, balconies, concrete floors and driveways. DECRACOAT is also ideal for line marking car parks.

PREPARATION

Remove any prior coatings by grit blasting or solvent strippers. Acid etch concrete and masonry surfaces with a 10% solution of Hydrochloric acid, and allow 4 hours to dry. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and other contaminants. Patch to produce a smooth surface.

APPLICATION

DECRACOAT may be applied using spray, brush or roller. Ideally, 2 or more coats should be applied at intervals of not less than 6 hours. Do not apply when rain is imminent or when the air or surface temperature is below 12º C or above 32º C.  First coat should be diluted with 10% water.

COVERAGE

Approximately 8-12 square metres per coat.

CURING

Depending on ambient conditions DECRACOAT will accept light foot traffic in 6 to 12 hours full cure in 2-3 days.

CLEAN UP

Brushes and equipment clean up in water.

RECAUTIONS

Concrete paving may not have a moisture barrier installed and if porous the capillary action of moisture may create adhesion failure. DECRACOAT will seal pores of the substrate and therefore may reduce traction.
