Texture Coat is a medium granular system available in a wide choice of colours. As a decorative textured finish, the product will retain colour, guards against acid rain, water ingress, carbon dioxide diffusion, pollution, dirt pick up, concrete spalling, mould and fungus. Matt finish. DEEP BASE.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
Internal coatings to highlight feature walls, protective coatings in basement and garage situations. Externally applied to commercial and residential buildings over concrete tilt panels, block work, bricks and most other surfaces.
MOST COLOURS CAN BE MATCHED (Deep Base Formula)
PREPARATION
Remove any loose mortar or droppings on the surface to be coated. A further option is to acid etch concrete and masonry surfaces with a 10% solution of Hydrochloric Acid, and allow 4 hours to dry. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and other contaminants. Patch to produce a smooth surface.
PRIMING
Exterior undercoat is advised for best results to achieve an even finish.
APPLICATION
TEXTURE COAT may be applied using a texture or standard roller. Cutting in using a brush. Ideally, 2 or more coats should be applied at intervals of not less than 6 hours. Do not apply when rain is imminent or when the air or surface temperature is below 12º C or above 32º C.
COVERAGE
Approximately 2-5 square metres per coat. (2 coats recommended)
CURING
Depending on ambient conditions TEXTURE COAT will ‘touch dry cured’ in 6 to 12 hours, and fully cure in 2-4 days.
CLEAN UP
Water clean up immediately after use, if cured use mechanical means.
