Colourseal - coloured concrete & paving sealer
COLOURSEAL is a Concrete and Masonry surface Coating and Sealer available in a variety of colours.
COLOURSEAL has a high resistance to many chemicals, oils, fats, acids and alkalis, and is an ideal coating where waterproofing, dust proofing and an attractive appearance is required.
PREPARATION
Remove any prior coatings by grit blasting or solvent strippers. Acid etch with a 10% solution of Hydrochloric acid, and allow 24 hours to dry.
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and other contaminants. Patch to produce a smooth surface.
APPLICATION
COLOURSEAL may be applied using spray, brush or roller. Ideally, 2 or more coats should be applied at intervals of not less than 24 hours. Do not apply when rain is imminent or when the air or surface temperature is below 12º C or above 30º C.
COVERAGE
1 litre covers approximately 10 square metres per coat. Two coats required.
CURING
Depending on ambient conditions COLOURSEAL will accept light foot traffic in 12 to 24 hours and normal traffic in 5-7 days. Vehicles should not stand or park on COLOURSEAL surfaces for 14 days.
CLEAN UP
Brushes and equipment clean up in Mineral Turpentine.
PRECAUTIONS
Concrete paving may not have a moisture barrier installed and if porous the capillary action of moisture may create adhesion failure. COLOURSEAL will seal pores of the substrate therefore reducing traction.
