Tile and Grout Sealer - water resistant system in wet areas

TILE & GROUT SEALER is a penetrating clear sealer used to reduce the permeability of tiles, grout and similar materials that contain silica in a derived form of natural stone.

PREPARATION

Remove any prior coatings and sealants.  Surfaces should be clean, free of grease, oil and other contaminants.  Allow the surface to dry for 24 hours prior to sealing. Inspect grout and replace where missing.  Allow the new grout to thoroughly dry before sealing.  It is wise to carry out a small test to ensure discoloration does not occur.

APPLICATION

T&G SEALER is applied liberally with a brush or spray.  Start with the walls and allow to run down to the base.  After about five minutes and before the first coat has dried apply a second coat. Wipe off any sealer that has not penetrated with a clean rag.  Do not use the shower for 24 hours.

COVERAGE

Approximately 8-12 square metres per litre depending on the porosity of the substrate.

CLEAN UP

Clean brushes and equipment with mineral turpentine.

PRECAUTIONS

Keep out of reach of children.  Avoid contact with eyes and skin, wear gloves and protective clothing.  Provide good ventilation.
